It's been a looooooooong time since I've participated in The Frugal Girl's Food Waste Friday. But since our grocery bill has been crazy expensive the last couple of months, I'm working to eat what we have and to serve leftovers for lunch and the occasional dinner! We didn't do too bad this week! A half loaf of bread went stale before we finished it and I'd marinated a tomato that we never ate. And now it looks gross, doesn't it? Anyway - here is our waste for the week!
How are you doing with your food wastes? Are you throwing too much in the trash each week? If you are, I encourage you to take note of it for a few weeks and you'll be surprised at what a difference it makes when you're more aware of what you're throwing away!

I'm your newest member. I was wondering where your blog archives are though. I came here from the frugal girl.

Also, visiting from Frugal Girl and new to your blog. I like the proverb at the top.
I found you through the Frugal Girl. I like how you said how much money's worth you wasted. I think I'll start estimating how much I think the food I waste cost me, maybe it'll help me waste less!
I too like that you're putting a $$ value to the food wasted.
I am wasting some, but working on it too. My problem is I have 2 fridges, and what's put in the old fridge is forgotten once in a while... Should work on rotating...
Jenfier - Welcome! I used to have my archives on the sidebar but removed them some time ago. I'm not sure if there is another way to get to them? I'll have to see.
live and learn - Thanks for stopping by!
Katy - Putting a dollar amount on what I'm throwing away has really helped me use up leftovers!
Canadian Saver - Doing inventory on the extra fridge/freezer space helps me too. Not too long ago I had to throw out some cheese that had expired in our basement refrigerator.
