143.4 pounds -- WEEK 3 -- JANUARY 27, 2012
I met some of my goals for the past week. I exercised once and did drink more water. I went to WW weigh-in, but didn't stay for the meeting.
My goals for the next week: Drink 48 oz water each day, exercise 3 days & attend a WW meeting (and stay for the meeting).
144.8 pounds -- WEEK 2 -- JANUARY 20, 2012
I had a slight weight loss this week, but am not sure if it's "real" or not. Mom passed away on the 11th and Weight Watchers didn't really enter my mind until today. My goals for next week are simple: attend a WW meeting, drink more water and exercise at least 2 days.
145.6 pounds --WEEK 1 -- JANUARY 10, 2012
I had a 2.4 pound weight loss for my first week back at Weight Watchers. This past week my main goal was to track my food and not worry so much about staying within my daily points. I wanted to see how much I'm eating and how easy it will be to cut some things out of my diet and eat less! There are 6 things that I want to do in order to meet my first 5% weight loss goal. How did I do this week?
Track my food daily
Tracked it for 3 out of 7 days.
Tracked it for 3 out of 7 days.
Drink more water than soft drinks --
I drank more water than I had been, but am still drinking too much Diet Coke.
Limit wine to 4oz/day during the week
Uh no. And the truth is I can so do without this habit that I've created of having a glass of wine each night. Last night after my MG class I truly felt like I needed a glass of wine but ended up having 2 instead. One would have been fine and I was kicking myself this morning for pouring the 2nd glass.
Attend WW meetings each week

Exercise 70 minutes each week
Update my blog each week after WW meeting
Done!
My priorities for this next week are to drink 64oz of water each day. This will take care of my goal to drink more water than Diet Cokes. I want to track my food each day and get in 70 minutes of exercise. I already have 3 workouts planned for the rest of the week. Add the 30 minute run that I had this morning and I'll be well over 70 minutes. I'm not making the wine a priority this week. My thought is that by drinking water and exercising I'll crave the wine less. And by tracking how many points I'm drinking each night, I expect that to be a deterrent to drink too much of it!
I'm 5 pounds away from reaching my first mini-goal of losing my first 5%!
148 pounds -- DAY 1 -- JANUARY 3, 2012
In an effort to get my weight under control and to reach my fitness/weight loss goals for 2012, I went back to Weight Watchers today. I've been an WW member on and off again for about 11 years. I originally joined on October 19, 2000 when I got up to 135 pounds. (How I WISH now that I weighed in at 135!). But I remember going to WW back in 2000 feeling so bad about myself. I felt fat and horrible. That first week I lost about 4 pounds and consistently lost weight (even through the holidays!). My goal weight was 120 pounds and I weighed 117 when I became Lifetime in March 2001. After becoming a Lifetime member I didn't go back to another meeting for about 10 months. Why? Because I was pregnant and had a sweet little baby boy. In fact, I became pregnant while I was on the 6 week maintenance!
After that I was close to my goal weight again...hovered around 122 for about a year and then gradually it went up and up and up. Now I weigh more than I did when I was pregnant! I remember very clearly back in 2002 being discouraged because I couldn't get my weight back to 117-120! I wish I would have talked to someone at WW and had my goal weight adjusted. It was never suggested to me and I didn't know it was allowed. I think when I couldn't get back to my "goal weight" I kind of just blew it off.
So - fast forward to 2009. I rejoined Weight Watchers after moving to Georgia and lost weight and got down to 133. Still not anywhere close to my "goal weight" and I lost momentum. Then I gained, gained, gained.
I rejoined again in 2010 and again in 2011. Both times I didn't stick with it.
Here I am in 2012. Will this year be different? Yes! Why? Because I'm changing my goal weight. What is it going to be? I'm not sure!!! And that's very liberating! When I'm working out, eating right and weigh 135, I feel pretty good about myself. Maybe my goal will be 135, maybe it'll be 130. Who knows. I'm going to take it one mini-goal at a time for a while and then decide what I want my NEW goal weight to be. I know for sure it won't be 120 pounds! For my height, Weight Watchers suggests it be 113-141.
My first mini goal is to lose 5% which will be 140.6 pounds on the scale.
To do this I will:
1. Track my food daily
2. Drink more water than soft drinks
3. Limit wine to 4oz/day during the week
4. Attend WW meetings each week
5. Exercise 70 minutes each week
6. Update my blog each week after WW meeting

Okay, I'm so with you on this one! I have the weight watchers APP to track my points. (I'm still wondering how I went from 29 points a day to 26....hmmmm) I think it's when I turned the big 5-0.
I personally think you look great in the pictures, but I understand. I don't like the way I look in pics either. Two years ago I lost 24 lbs. and have since gained back 18. With the added weight came more health issues again..i.e. acid reflux, etc
So, I'm joining you on this. We can support each other! I'm not doing the *meeting* thing, but I'll be tracking. You'll have to fill me in on what you learn at the meetings! :)!
